About

Hi, I'm Gavin.

Built for golfers who know there's more to improvement than swing tips.

I played on a mini tour in South Africa and played Division I college golf at Nicholls State University in the USA. Today I'm a scratch player on the men's scratch team in Worthing.

Along the way I saw the same thing again and again. Golfers get the same advice, the same drills and the same mindset cues, even though they think, feel, learn and compete in completely different ways.

Coaching is often back to front. It hands out instruction before it knows who you are. I've spent years thinking about the opposite: understand the player first, then build the game around them.

Golf Instincts is that idea. Find your animal. Understand your cage. Trust your instincts.
